The Company

Polyflor, trading in the UK since 1915, are an international market leading manufacturer of commercial luxury vinyl flooring (LVT). Working closely with contractors, specifiers and end users they work closely to understand the requirements of the flooring needs, be it within a commercial, retail, pharmaceutical, leisure or residential setting.

Their Challenge

"Increase overall sales through distribution partners"


Avinity were approached in 2015 to provide a contractor promotion to push sales through with select purchases across a range of LVT collections, with the goal to increase sales through their usual distribution partners. Polyflor were looking for both a cost-effective, yet perceived high-value product selection for the promotion to really tempt their contractors to go above and beyond.

The Solution

"Technological incentives"

The solution from Avinity was to create a 3 tier structure of high-tech gifts that included recognised brand names. Through a collaborative approach, we were able to build an excellent selection of products that met the pricing objectives of the client, and were both desirable and attainable in each tier for the contractors. Our work also included obtaining sign-off with manufacturers to co-ordinate the campaign, supply of products and meeting deadlines and expectations set by Polyflor.

The Result

"Increased sales during the promotional period"

The campaign ran from June-November 2015, during which time Polyflor recorded a noticeable increase in sales throughout the promotional period in the specific collections involved within the promotion. A favourite item with the contractors, accounting for 28% of the total volume of redemptions was the Apple iPad. The scheme was deemed such a success that a further promotion, with a new project range has been commissioned since.
